Tahmina Watson
Tahmina is a Seattle based immigration lawyer, radio show host, multiple time author and frequent media commentator on CNN, Forbes and other media outlets on US tech immigration issues. She is most well known for her book The Startup Visa now in it's Third Edition! She is a native of Bangladesh, a US immigrant herself and is still acutely aware of the poverty gap and just how much our very small but highly specific help could potentially change lives far more than any other form of giving. Her passion for getting the Startup Visa done comes from a strong passion to support and create opportunities for "tech geniuses" to fulfill their potential including birthing a new generation that otherwise may not exist through our work
Advisors
Jeff LaFlamme (Cambodia)
Jeff is a long time Canadian digital nomad and Siem Reap/Cambodia resident and also the founder of AngkorHub, Siem Reap's longest running coworking space and tech community which unfortunately did not survive the Covid pandemic. He has also tried to help in a prior similar fashion in Cambodia's thriving NGO space and comes with a wealth of experience, contacts and lessons learned. Nowdays Jeff is a fractional CTO working with EdTech companies and law firms. Jeff was also one of the earliest proponents of the now globally ubiquitous Nomad Visa
Staff
Munly Leong (SE Asia-wide)
Executive Director
Munly is a programmer and game developer at heart, former IT systems administrator and currently building multiple funds with the overarching goal of solving international investment between the US and the rest of the world with a core geoarbitrage bent.
Additionally he has worn marketing and business/founder/operator hats and also uniquely has worked on startup visas and tech immigration with multiple countries around the world. Once upon a time, he attempted a previous non profit to to map broadband quality around the world down to the street level and the lessons learned, non-profit sector knowledge gained from that effort has helped hit the ground running now with Tech Generations.
Hon Houen (Cambodia)
Phnom Penh Representative
Hon himself was once a student of one of the many NGO schools operating in Cambodia where he both learned English and basic computer skills. He retained his English from working at a hotel pre-Covid but all the years he spent not being able to save enough to afford a computer meant that he forgot nearly everything and has been unexposed to everything that's happened since Windows 7. He is living proof of the need for how we plan to help. Since Covid destroyed the hotel business he used to work for, he is now making ends meet via driving a tuk tuk and his dream is to turn that into an online tour business instead. This dream is why we are supporting him (already a rough version is live at https://www.anglocambodiatravel.com) and we will be helping each other going forwards.
Tam Thinh (Cambodia)
Siem Reap Representative, Accountant for Cambodia
Tam Thinh is especially passionate about the NGO sector and helping people. She is a graduate of Build Bright Universtiy in Siem Reap, Cambodia majoring in Accounting and Finance and also a seller with D Network. While we not be the best fit for her being exclusively tech-focused, if any more purely humanitarian NGO's in Siem Reap are also looking for help please reach out. Tam may also be available to help. She is not technical herself but has completed certfication for using MS Office apps.
Dylan Heinkel (USA)
SEO and Online Marketing / Business Coach
Dylan was a former lead PC Tech for Office Depot and formerly ran an online marketing and SEO consultancy for small businesses.
